Kris Bordessa is a freelance writer who spends much of her time thinking about greener living. She writes primarily about home, garden, travel, and Hawaii.

Her latest book, Attainable Sustainable: A Modern Guide to Traditional Living will be released by National Geographic Books in 2020. With an online presence nearing 700K followers on her Attainable Sustainable website and social media channels, she provides guidance in topics as diverse as home cooking, canning, gardening, and raising chickens in an effort to encourage her readers to embrace a more self-reliant lifestyle.

Her hands-on history books for kids are published by Nomad Press. Team Challenges: Group Activities to Build Cooperation, Communication, and Creativity was published in 2005 by Zephyr Press and has been their top seller over the course of many years. (She’s discussing the possibility of a new, more environmentally friendly edition with the publisher.)
